Yiannis Dimouleas was born in Trachila, a seaside village in Messinian Mani. When he was still a child, his parents brought him to Piraeus, where he still lives. He studied naval architecture and interior design. At the same time, he was involved in painting and amateur theater. The cultural tradition and natural environment of his birthplace deeply influenced his character. Later, he was also influenced by the thorough study of the work of all modern Greek writers, poets and musicians.
